The Kantarines Stripe pattern is handwoven using upcycled thread by ANTHILL partner community Mang Abel Ti Abra, a community of women weavers preserving this living tradition passed on to them by their ancestors. The Kantarines stripe is traditionally worn as tapis or wrap skirts.
Colors may vary slightly from the photo. Material content may also vary depending on the community that weaved the fabric. Kantarines weaves are upcycled from commercial polyester scraps by weavers in Ilocos Norte. The Kantarines is best known for its striped designs - featuring stripes of various widths, colors, and combinations.
